This month our theme for Aistear is At The Restaurant!
Our groups have been very busy building restaurants, designing their own menus and meals and visiting other restaurants in small world. The most popular learning area so far has been our Home Corner, where we set up our very own classroom restaurant. Here, the children worked hard as chefs, waiters and waitresses, managers and customers.
We discussed our favourite meals and wrote about them.
The drawings even look tasty!
We made some Spring Flower prints using fruit and vegetables. We used broccoli, celery, carrots, mushrooms, apples and orange segments. We decided which way was the best to cut them to make good prints and then we dipped them into paint. It was great fun and really messy too!
